THE WAITING GAME

Now speaking of nice IXLs, here's a crude mint & colorful one that was recently liberated on one of our digs. Lots of holes punched in the ground in past few months with minimal results until recently. The broken stuff was enough to make a grown man cry. In the past 25 years I tried four different times to get permission to dig this spot and was always denied until recently. The story with pictures of some of the other bottles will be on my site soon.......

  7. Killer, Killer, and Killer. Them loggers were boozin. Didn't they usually prefer bourbon to bitters ? Dont think you'd have to dig too many logging camp boarding houses to score, geesh.

  9. woooooooooweeeeee. very nice, I dug a piece of an IXL in sac back in the 60s. i don't dig anymore cause most places are dug out, ahh the good ol days. i miss the ghost town also. talk about easy-any dick harry, or bobby could walk their dumb-ass into a town and pick up bottles on the surface ! yowzers. the high barriers to entry i think it what is causing the decline of the hobby, what du u old times think ?

  10. Seems like its been pretty 'bitter' lately. Two Wonsers, a Renz's, IXL, and probably others.
