Old "Figment" Revisited

While perusing SF directories I saw this ad by Kirkpatrick and McCue in the Langley's 1874 Directory. Again, they advertise the fact that they are the agents for the "Celebrated Signet Whiskey". We do know that the bottle was trademarked as embossed, but were any actually blown? Until concrete evidence proves otherwise it is safe to assume that none were and "Old Figment" will remain just that, fodder for the bottle collector's imagination.

  1. Shards of this whiskey have been found by different diggers/collectors and from the pieces of embossing the drawing was done for the book.

  2. The "supposed" shards of the "Old Figment" never made a public debut, so the entire episode is up for conjecture. To my knowledge, no digger in the past 40 years has turned up any identifiable frags of the bottle. I'm positive than any pieces would create quite a stir in the collecting community.
